Apex Specialist Spray Coatings LTD was founded by two brothers with extensive practical experience in industrial and commercial spray coatings. We created the company around a clear principle: clients should receive honest advice, disciplined preparation and a completed finish that reflects the standard of their own business.

We work with leading professional coating manufacturers and select systems around the substrate, environment, required finish and expected service conditions. Where a product or project specification provides a defined performance or warranty route, we follow the required preparation, application and recording process so the completed work meets the applicable standard. For exterior projects, we specify UV-resistant coating systems where appropriate, helping the finish retain its colour and resist fading caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.
10-year workmanship guarantee
Our work is backed by a 10-year workmanship guarantee. Certain specialist products and manufacturer-approved coating systems may provide longer guarantees, depending on the product, substrate, site conditions and specification agreed for the project.
Correct specification
The coating is selected for the surface and service environment—not simply by colour. Exterior systems are selected with weathering and UV exposure in mind.
Controlled application
Mixing, induction, thinning, film build, recoat periods and site conditions are managed in line with the system requirements.

Preparation before paint
We clean the building properly before a new coating goes anywhere near it.
Contamination, chalking, traffic film, organic growth and poorly bonded material can all undermine a coating. Our standard refurbishment sequence begins with a suitable chemical clean to break down contamination, followed by a high-powered jet wash at up to 3,500 PSI where the substrate and site conditions permit.
Once clean and dry, the building is inspected again. Loose coatings are removed, sound edges are feathered, defects are repaired, corrosion is treated and exposed areas are primed with a compatible product. Only after the surface has been prepared, protected and masked do we begin applying the finish coats.

How long does a professional spray coating last?
Service life depends on the existing surface, preparation, coating system, environment and ongoing exposure. Apex assesses the building first and specifies a compatible system designed to provide a durable, professional finish for the conditions involved.
Can you work while our business remains open?
Often, yes. We plan access, masking, safe working areas and the application sequence around the client’s operation wherever practical. The exact arrangement is agreed after understanding the site, working hours, vehicle movements and any sensitive areas.
What preparation do you complete before spraying?
Preparation is matched to the surface and its condition. It can include chemical cleaning, high-powered jet washing, removal of loose coatings, sanding and feathering, repairs, corrosion treatment, detailed masking and compatible primers before the finish coats are applied.
Can you spray in specific RAL colours?
Yes. We can work with specified RAL colours and coordinate finishes across cladding, trims, shutters, doors, steelwork and other suitable building elements. Colour and sheen are confirmed as part of the quotation and specification process.
Do you work nationwide?
Yes. Apex undertakes industrial and commercial projects across the UK, with enquiries also considered throughout Ireland. Travel, access and programme requirements are reviewed against the size and scope of each project.
Do you provide free quotations and site surveys?
Quotations are free. You can send project details, photographs or a walk-around video through the website or WhatsApp. Where a site visit is needed to assess the condition, access or specification properly, Apex will arrange the appropriate next step with you.
Which surfaces and buildings can you spray?
